Creating hull form from not so good lines plan

Thanks will do, is there any other marine tutorials except that rapid hull modelling on rhino site?
I dont have any to hand, but I will keep an eye out for you

Just found this one

I find hard chines very easy, after Crv2View I use Sweep2Rails like that last tutorial

Rhino is a great tool, and at a great price. but not for everything. A large, complicated ship, such as a container carrier, needs many calculations that Rhino or Orca can not perform. I know many professionals who use Rhino to create the 3D model of the hull (not the whole ship and its structure) and export it to other CAD programs. On the other hand, as I said earlier, when it comes to creating, faithfully reproducing, the forms of an existing ship, Rhino is too cumbersome and inaccurate.
It is worth learning how to use Rhino and know how far you can go with it but for calculations of naval architecture, calculation of scantlings, creation of constructive drawings, information for workshops, etc., it is better that you think of other CAD- CAM software.

I already work in a CAD/CAM software called CADDS5i which has patches for shipbuilding made from USC company in Pula,Croatia, and have maxsurf and soon Catia for analysis. I want to learn the capabilities of rhino first before going on onther software.

Maxsurf, and its multiple modules, can be used to carry out the complete process, design + building plans, cnc, etc. It is one of the important programs for naval CAD / CAM.
Good luck.
We already do in Cadds5i all of the building plans.
Thanks ill definitely need it and some hard nerves.

Here is a different opinion. I use Rhino to create hull surfaces from lines plans and offsets for boats. I do not find Rhino to be cumbersome or inaccurate.

Could you share some tips and tutorials cause it would definitely make my life easier?

Is it better to use patch or network surface, whats the diference?

Does anybody use adjustable blend in smoothing curves who are complex?

some deifferent half automatic way to adjust surface to preliminary defined lines.
Do you think it could be done in rhino also like that?
How much is this software cost?
Does it export to rhino, maxsurf?
