Interesting day tomorrow, kiwis get the favoured port tack but Oracle is the fastest boat, can't wait for the series of starboard port tack near collisions with a protest at each turn.

I really really hope New Zealand wins this 9 - 10, yup wins the last race and thus with the 2 point deduction wins overall. One could only bet that every lawyer in SF would be sending in their business card to Larry

Today's were more like those dull LV races.
As I said, the starts are great, the vid and graphics are superb, but most of
the race is a dull procession.

Well that just shows that you have a very low opinion about the ambitions and
get-up-and-go of the rest of American lawyers. ;)

    Kirby Trimmer / grinder.

Was Kirby Trimmer Grinder not on board in the races this afternoon because news reports keep reporting only one on board.

Oracle's website has Slingby as Australia / United States nationality.

It's not allowed in the USA ( Vegemite). They take it off you at the border.

I see this as a Australian NZ race, the US is just proving the venue and the funding for the Aus boat.

yeah, the only reason I want the NZ to win, is that it will be cheaper to sail over the Tasman to see the next series.

I had Vegemite seized in 2005 flying into LA from Australia, so that was from my own experience ! I don't take it now.

Customs vary a lot depending on their own local interpretation of rules. I've had to use lawyers getting marine equipment transhipped with me through the US because costumes and intimidation had their own ideas not inline with legislation.

Bureaucracy! Like congress having to modify the Jones act for the AC support boats because strictly speaking the governments lawyers decided the support boats were engaged in commerce.
