Eulers formel /mast kompression

Where do you want to start?
Your first problem is in defining the mast compression loads. Usually defined by rig tension and angle, halyard tension, and a bit from spreader compression. Do you want to play it safe, and use rigging BS as the tension in the calcs, or do you want to use "sailing loads" and come out with a smaller spar section that may fail before the shrouds?

The basic euler formular is also only good for straight masts. If you have a bent mast it's all a bit different.

Thank you for all your help! I hawe get to one conclusion and it is like this if I hawe a boat with a weight of 10 metric tons then my mast fot has to be constructed to carry loads twice that 20 metric tons.Could that a ruff calculation be in some way right.
