Article on ship design

Anybody having article on how to design a ship ? plz share

There are whole books on that, so an article is just going to give you an outline...like in the thread below.

or you could read Hydrodynamics in Ship Design, by Saunders. There is a whole section at the end detailing the design of a cargo liner and her boats.

Yes jehardiman.... i need an outline only an article of about 300 to 400 words... it's an assignment for me ... It should include the basics of ship design ....i need some guidelines to prepare it.
