With the main foil's angle of incidence being controlled manually(if at all) and the rudder foil fixed, pitch control will be good. They aren't allowed to use the windward foil to pull down and create more RM.
==============Gooday all of you; How the heck does anyone 'police' the 'pull-down' effect while they are racing - as I see it - that is not possible unless there is a 'roving' unpire moving all over the deck at all times that each boat is out on the race course. Any idea's there ??? - ciao, james

James, if I'm right about the control of the angle of incidence of the main foil by pivoting the thing-they would just set it for neutral-or slight lift to compensate for boat pitch down. I think they have some sort of rule and marks on the foil so that can be verified.
Have Team NZ released any top speeds theyve reached yet? Were not talking Hydroptere speeds yet are we?
Is it possible for Team NZ to challenge Hydroptere speeds?
Pretty amazing seeing a 72ft windsailed cat FLYING

I've heard it should be able to hit at least 1.2 times the true wind speed going upwind and 1.6 times true wind speed going downwind.
That certainly sounds believable on these monsters.
I'm also curious to see how close they get to the speed record held by L'Hydroptere...
==================Fargo truck!!
Look Doug, no waving wands or other nonsense - and according to Graeme Swan who took this memorable/famous shot, sailing level and smooth as.
