The Marketplace Forums can be useful for members who know one another well from forum discussions and offline communications and wish to post boatbuilding tools, drafting tools, molds and tooling, and other professional equipment for sale or trade. However, caution and good judgement should always be used. Especially when considering any business with anyone not already well known to you and trusted, due diligence must be used to confirm details and identity and be sure the transaction is safe before any money or property changes hands. Always use good judgement and perform due dilligence and follow these guidelines.

A Palace can still be a prison. Im sick of coconut beaches --hell im 200yds from one now as I sit on the aft deck of my cat in shorts and a coffee at my side. I have a coconut in the dinghy to cut up when I fancy one but-- man am I looking forward to the hustle and bustle of the city in 2 weeks time ---and then ill be looking forward to the boat again 6 weeks after that.

Man can not live by bread alone, he also need opticians and doctors -- maybe a Pharmacy for the odd eye drops etc.

I can be off this island in 1 hour and back at my car in Thailand.

Be carefull what you wish for, CNO was all you wanted at one time, now its for sale. This should give an indication of diversity required.

I am closer to 45 than I am 70, ran 6 km yesterday then drank beer till it rained.

beaches are boring places I prefer high heeled painted ladies performing testicular cancer inspections for a 2 dollar drink.

There are places you can get both.

Mas,-- never ever lived in or near London

I second that, growing old is lousy, nothing "golden" about it at all

Hi rasonic, I am all for F***ing as often as I can till I die at a ripe old age 'with no shoes on'... but there are other things to enjoy in life - like a bit of adventure too?

CNO is a means to achieve part of a goal - well - head in that direction... When things seem to inhibit aforsaid direction, in pique I say sell it or 'F..k' something/one... In the end she will pay for the next stage - - I hope... Sometimes a good rant expressing frustration is a good way to vent the spleen and clear the air/head - to mix metaphors very badly.....

The only alternative is not overly attractive either, though decrepitude seems to take the sting out of that, from what I have observed of the elderly.

Is there anyone else out there who can answer some of these questions about Who is where in this particular part of PNG?

I would really appreciate your contact, via a personal message on this forum... It only requires you to submit a user-name, a password, that is reasonably secure, and a working email address, so you can be notified of posts made to threads to which you subscribe and to be able to post messages to other individuals without revealing your identity to the whole world if that is your wish...
    Thank you...

I like a post on the rear wheel cover of a 4x4 -
    "
    DO it before
    dementia
    does it to you
    "
    - parked at a high-care-nursing-home-for-the-elderly....

Who is the "misery guts"? not I said the fly..... :D What is that other silly quote ? .... Ahhh yes - - "slowly slowly catchee monkey" - buggered if I know what that means, nor do I really care...

These things need a little careful planning and co-ordination... I am not a "money-bags" like someone in Pattayia who buys a production line boat and chucks his boat as deck cargo up to Singapore or somewhere that way... I must of necessity do it under the boats own power and to a fairly tight budget.... :D Have a good day all...

Mas what is happening to you is horrible, I genuinely feel for you

    the dream gone "sideways"
    economy crap everywhere
boat market so low you cant give the stuff away

    not easy for anybody
but with hindsight you have lived
lots of good memories of the past years

so the present is cr@p - it is so for most of us

I am going for a drink now - tomorrow is a brand new day and it's cool

here is a good song to cheer you up
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA46ZNjrzeY
    sting - brand new day

    best attitude for now is
    f**k everything and everybody
there is no magical "afterlife" surrounded by 77 virgins

the good news is I woke up above ground this morning

    we have also got
here now - its kinda fun for an old fart like me to go there for a drink and see these thai / chinese / who knows what - there is even some with broad shoulders ?????

    china has come to town
anybody for some rice wine 'hic' ;)

Ahhhh rice wine may be a novelty for some but the BRANDY made from distiling the wine can be excellent on the taste-buds or excellent at shortening a life :D

I may sound like I am winging - If so that is an OOPS, - I am trying to get others to see the light and prepare for nasty events - when the politicians, bureaucrats and banksters can no longer get away with "Kicking the can further down the road, and REALITY hits very hard and it is not another "masalai OOPS event......"

I am a survivor, a realist and usually easily adapt to new financial conditions... Sometimes I feel WTF sell the bloody boat and vegetate on a bed bored s41tless in a dementia hospice for the old... - But I do not believe that and neither should any one else...

    Manie,
I fear for you and yours and fanie and Wynand in that uncivilised place moreso... Take care and keep in touch... I hope to maintain a presence on BD net so others who may be travelling this way can be sure to find me - near Brisbane or way up north nearer Goodenough Island or somewhere else?

+ 1 on that one infact I find it hard to immagine myself putting up with it. I think Im correct in saying that I would walk, I would if necessary abandon everything for the few years left.

But thats me, im a selfish wreckless life lover.

The conclusion I must accept is that it cant be that bad.

Mas you pissing in the wind trying to prepare us for financial armegedon , we know about it, there is nothing we can do but live.

Ive done what I can and to be honest if my heart keeps pumping im happy.

Might I suggest you get on your boat and go find your coconut island and do the things you speak of.

You can jury rig a mast and a few second hand sails for 100 dollars.

But thats not the prob is it? Your re directing your frustration and or reluctance into this forum and particularly this thread as if you are needed here .
