I'm almost done with the demo part, I have a concern about the soaked foam that is below the 2' wide platform that is the floor for the fuel tank. this floor board runs all the way to the transom. Could I drill 2 or 3 inch holes in that flooring and dig the soaked foam out? also could a sump be made at the transom with a pump to help keep it dry? I hate to cover it up and let that wet sponge laying there. I hope the pics will help. Thanks.

You really need to replace that wet foam. Unfortunately you may have to remove the deck to get it out. When you replace it seal it up in glas an epoxy or polyvinyl plastic so it won't get saturated again. I suppose some of the others on this forum may know a way to get it out with out removing structure.
