caulking planks

Peter. Probably not a rumrunner with a liberty V-12, Not when gas is up well over $4 a gallon. hows things over there on the west coast. Joe

NW Washington state is fabulous. Took BERTIE to Barkley Sound for two weeks with 8 aboard and had an incredible time. Went hiking on Mt Baker a few days ago and saw glaciers and mountains everywhere from the old fire lookout tower. The Liberty V12 is to look at, not run. A very long, lean, 10:1 beam, electric launch with a bimini covered in solar panels and a couple of wind generators with a gas generator backup sounds good for motor boats these days!!

Wondering if you are still out there
I have a 50 year old ketch
Am getting ready to recaulk the bottom thinking I should take the boat out of the water for the winter so I have dry planks to make for a tighter job?
