Head in Console

I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I just figured you who design and build would have a better answer.

Question is............how big of a boat do you have to have before you can have a console big enough for a head ? I am trying to figure out some kind of boat that I can use for fishing in lake okeechobee and still fish like the dixie bar etc. and have a private head space for the girls.

The boat in question will be stored 6 to 8 months and then towed behind a trawler during the wintering months down south. Get the idea........ I am not looking for a big off shore boat. A simple flats type or bass or semi v or what have you....

I've seen 23 foot boats with a console including a head. They are a bit tight, but good enough.

30" x 36"by whatever height you feel you need is about the smallest you can get away
with unless you use a 5 gallon bucket.

Yea I have been thinking about a pull up shower curtain type thing with a 5 gal bucket and seat. lol

The superyacht tenders use electric heads to save space

A head on a small boat is troublesome, particulary if you must stockpile the poop.

Perhaps an outhouse style " blow hole " would be better. Glass a 12 inch PVC pipe verticaly thru the boat . Put it anywhere convient , then cap it of with a deck plate to prevent gysering .

This blow hole would also be multipurpose, handy for jigging or for discreetly disposing of incriminating evidence like undersize crabs or square groupers when Home land security performs a raid.

Have you seen the Pontoon Cat plans on Bateau? They look really interesting for recreational fun on calm water and lots of space for things like amenities

I have seen an arrangement like this for pontoon boats and deck/partybarge boats. I think they were in the 22=25 foot range.

However if you are looking at smaller boats like a flats boat or jon boat, there are tent arrangements available and with that and a porta potty you would be good to go (no pun intended)

There ya go get a dingy , put a portal potty on it and call it a potty porter. Very British mate.
