Aluminum fasteners

I found some replacement aluminum fasteners from Fastenal that are 2024-T4.

This alloy can have slightly under 5 percent copper as an alloying element.

I would prefer a 6061 fastener. But... would I be in big trouble if I used them to fasten a new wood transom core to an aluminum boat?

No, particularly in fresh water use. It should be OK.

In fresh water...it shouldn't be so much of an issue.
However in sea water, yes. Circa 5% Cu is a lot and will cause corrosion issues.
