I'm in the process of installing a 85 ford diesel in place of 330 mercruiser buckled up to borg warner on a old Bravo outdrive. Has anyone done this conversion. I'm looking for updated sorce for marine manifolds, bell housing, flex or drive plate. I'm well versed in CFR , ABYC, ABS,.Looking for info on what effect deleting vacum pump has on high pressure pump operation and adjustments. How much restriction on injector return line, any problems with using manual control on glow plug operation in lieu of auto . Plan on using existing Raw water pump and Heat exchanger, not sure if present heat exchanger has enough cooling capacity. Not sure at this time how I'm going to route exhaust and cooling water overboard. Any info ya'll have would be welcomed. Flying Finn

6.9 Int Conversion

I;ve been wondering around the the internet looking for info. All source info I've located so far are old ,have 1 contact I'm waiting for a responce. Have the 6.9 stripped down ,the 330 coming out this week if the weather holds. Located a usable TR Outdrive .I understand the right hand prop shaft are getting hard to find ,there switching to left hand. If i dont find a source shortly for coupler I'm going to use the mercruiser and have the Int flywheel machined to fit. Once I get the 330 out I'll take take some measurements and fab. some motor mounts. Water cooled exhaust manifolds are my main concern. I'm looking for a larger heat exchanger that will still fit in the engine compartment . I'm also considering installing a large truck heater core to assist in cooling. Good project for our Alaska winter.

Just got a phone call from a lead, it gave me another source to try, I also talked to a fella today that had help install 6.9's in a shaft drive it was a while ago and just a change out so manifolds are out there, also going to a junk yard and get a flywheel out of a stick 6.9 and maybe even a bell housing, quick measurement today may have to modify the oil pan a tad, thanks for your info, this sucker might not be to difficult after all.
