Aveva Tutorial Lines

Does anyone try to import IGES file with trimmed surfaces into Aveva? It tell me that there is a gap on line of surfaces intersection. Any advice?

Could you tell me the way how you imported file igs into Aveva Marine?
In my view, i imported igs hullform to Surface manager module in Aveva and optimized it, the gap is around 0.0005mm might be accepted according to standardization of program. If thế gap is too big, you should modify igs hullform file then import it again.
Don't hesitate to send email to me if any troubles in Aveva Marine: training.aveva@gmail.com

So gap between trimmed surface can be less than 0.0005mm??? And there is no problem with structure modeling for such surface?

Actually, I heard an opinion that Aveva do not like trimmed surfaces at all, because of possible gaps. You may pass surface import and will get a troubles with surface during structure modeling???

Sorry for my mistake, i just had a look at checking the patch to curve accuracy.
"If the mean distance is less than 0.0015 metres and the maximum is less than 0.01 metres then the surface is acceptable"

As i know that when modeling structure in planar hull, If boundary of plate is surface then that surface is not interrupted, it must be such a continue curve (not broken off)

Yes, surface imported and released into hull design. Please check email.
