Thats a nice bit of hardware in the attachment good to know that is a option by the through the cabin route seems more viable. As you said there is far more to consider than just the rigging. That being said is there a designer you could recommend? Any one versed in cats and junk rigs too?

Sorry I'm not acquainted with boat designers I'm a civils man. If you have a design in mind sketch it up with weights and overall dimensions including the location of the mast and I can throw some figures at it in a back of an envelope fashion, on the strict understanding that its a discussion piece and so you will have a feeling for the sizes of the sections needed. Then those with marine design experience can wade in and pick it to pieces which should provide both education and entertainment. At the moment were dealing with the abstract.
