    I was wondering why it would be different from a wood hull Chris-Craft, known for sinking if the wood is not allowed to swell prior to launching. It's not, they soaked the Morgan first as well.

    The lift dock and Morgan were lowered into the water, but not enough for the Morgan to float, on June 27 and was in the water for at least 5 days. I don't know when she was lifted out for the launching ceremony.     Thanks, I guess the soaking part is not as big of deal as the actual launch. No champagne bottles breaking at least. Loud cork pop at 3:40 though.

    The Charles Morgan has moved to the City Pier. They have a tracker onboard for her 38th Voyage on which she is set to depart today. Correction it looks like she will stay at City Pier until late May early June. The plan is she will receive new whale boats in her davits prior to her departure.
