Paint! Just a week or so ago I decided on black for the paint job. Tonight I changed my mind back to red, bright Chevy red.

Thanks, Daniel-can't wait to get her sailing. Yesterday, in the strong off shore wind, she wanted to take off-fast with no sails!

Well, that certainly puts a crimp in the traditional method of dealing with a model boat that's headed for the horizon: throwing rocks at it to break the mast. Although given the size of your model, I guess you'd need big rocks anyway....:D

edit: I definitely agree that you should go with the Chevy Red. Among other things, I believe it'll photograph better than black would. But hey... why stop there? I have fond memories from my youth of hot rods painted candy apple red. All you need is a metallic base coat followed by a transparent color coat, finished off with clear-coat....

You'd need a shotgun to break this mast! I found a website that gives the color numbers of various cars. I saw the incredibly bright red on some new small Chevy and got the number. Since then I've seen it on other Chevies but no other manufacturer has THIS red!

We like BLACK ... of course - but the red will suit this extremist well.
But waiting to see the full size version.

    Looks great Doug !

Paint it transparent, I once saw a kayak that was made from transparent material, and you could see these nice lady legs in it with the fishes below her... Are you fitting twin 115's or one 235 :D

Waiting to see the first go.

Hoyt, my first RC foiler, the F3-I produced a few of them-was red with hot pink and white sails. The red on this boat is significantly "brighter" but the sails will be darkish-like the patch below--a new "snazzy?!
