I heard that being discussed recently. One guy said it's a shame they cannot get their civil war concluded so they can get on with their proper business of attacking the US of A. Cynical!

The producer of the movie that startet the latest round of attacks and riots is reportedly an egyptian, and is protected by the first constitutional amendment in US. Maybe he should be deported back home where he can have a full and frank discussion of his views with some people who can present the Muslim argument where it can do the most good.

This movie trailer has nothing to do with unrest in the middle east folks, though it is a distraction, likely intentionally placed. The events are a direct result of the US's disruption of al Qaeda's rank and file. Recent documents found in the Bin Laden raid, find that he asked his followers to disperse, particularly to get out of tribal regions, where they've been hunted by drones, and start up crap else where. The recent attacks have all the ear marks of al Qaeda and the movie trailer is just a way to confuse the situation.

Simply put, in the last 3 years al Qaeda has spread out all over the place, trying to hide from drones and other intelligence attempts to identify them. As I mentioned much earlier in this thread the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, will greatly advance the radical aspects of Islam and to this point support by and from al Qaeda. If you elect boneheads, you have to expect boneheaded stuff. It's much easier to deliver ranting speeches and totalitarian rule, then develop the restraints and most importantly trust, necessary for democracy to work.

Mark my words, you'll find in coming months that al Qaeda was behind these uprising,s as an attempt to stir unrest in precarious positioned governments, so their promises of help can gain more of a foot hold. This is the way they take over and it's been repeated many times previously.

Dumb things like this make excuse for wars. One never knows the end result of this.

I tell you what starts wars bogus , spurious information written by people who know nothing of the middle east , Islam or Arabs.

Arabs have and always will be be very different to the west. Arabs do not grow up, they stay at about 8 years old.

You can not make a friend or an ally of an Arab.

Now taint this with a archaic fanatical belief in religion and you have volatility.

Does'nt matter if its the al Qeada or the womens knitting club.

    Go live there a while!!!

In New york right now there will be Arabs moving freely, their wifes totally covered head to foot , no harm will come to them as they pass freely.

It is probable that if you were to land in Cairo this morning you would be killed, it would be your own fault for going there.

Where is the comradeship, friend , ally or just plain sense and tolerance, --there is none.

Have you been , do you know any. Name me one that is Islamic and is honest trustworthy , has integrity and does not believe in circumcision of females of which Egypt is still one of the worst. Stoning of children Christians in Pakistan or even allowing women to drive or vote in Saudi.---Not a chance.

Chrstianity is total crap too, along with Jews and Catholics and big Ju Ju up the mountain if Ive missed your senesless religion out feel free to add.

Cant you see what trouble it causes?

You cant insult me --I don't have one --I am insultable.

Had there not been religion the Ambassador to Us in Lybia would still be alive.

Religion kills every day --its for small minded people.

This post will be removed in case it offends anyone. Dont be offended, just stand there, be tolerant, turn the other cheek, be quite, and be killed.

Stereotyping millions of people shows a lack of education and class.

Really? What will, then? Landing on your knees and begging for mercy? That would be number two on my list. Of course, everything else is tied for first.....

The reality is that if you put a hole in someone attempting to rob or kill you, it tends to distract him wonderfully.

And don't bother to quote statistics about American gun deaths to me, because the simple truth is that the vast majority of those are bad guy-on-bad guy killings. If you aren't in a gang, dealing drugs or otherwise living beyond the pale, your chances of dying from a bullet are probably less here than they are in England -- where they've cleverly passed laws to ensure that only the bad guys have guns.

I will admit that some US neighborhoods have a problem with gang bangers who can't shoot straight, and take out bystanders. Of course, that mostly happens in neighborhoods where too many people tolerate or even admire the little scumbags to begin with....

I think the response to that problem should be to make mandatory gun safety and marksmanship classes part of the sentence for anyone convicted of illegally carrying or using a gun. That way they'll eliminate each other more efficiently, while putting fewer noncombatants in danger.;)

Troy, I read the arguments for self-defense capability used by the gun lobby, but I also read of massacres of innocent bystanders from time to time by crazies with more guns than they can carry - it's happened here in Canada too - and I cannot ever recall hearing about the gunfire being returned by a gun-toting NRA member. Does it ever happen?

Ah never mind. A popeye troll gets his jollies off winding other people up. Big waste of energy, not worthy of a response.

Thank you for your response BPL, I gather that you are niether for or against religion and world wide ignorance. Is that because you don't know or dont care?

Its powerful responsive people like this that we need.

Send another innocent Ambassador to Lybia poor guy RIP.

Can I request that we raise the conversation from the floor and above guns.

Curing a cause of the problem and not just the symptoms is often misunderstood.
