    i always wanted to canoe or yak in a skin cover,,that sounds kooliez.
    didnt mythbusters do a boat of ice,,and one of newspaper? ;)

    You can make a Greenland style kayak paddle from a 2x4. Plans are free on the web. I used Western Red Cedar, it's light and inexpensive.

    We had 2 of those 2 hole privvies because we lived in what used to be a coal miner's duplex. We tore one down for firewood.

    Coal we had, but it costs money. With a household income of $40 a week and 3 of us kids, it had to last. Plus coal is hard to light and needs kindling to get it going. We only used the upper structure anyway. Well , floor up. :cool:
