    Hello everyone,
I'm struggling to find Lateral plane area which is combining few components together.
LPA1 is working no problem but assume we take a RIB which has the tube covering a part of the hull, i cant know the total summed (after taking into account that one component is on the other),
Please see the added picture for clearence (where the blue is before the red when looking to the portside of the boat and thus ,has to be calculated only once.)
    Picture from google.
    Thank you very much.

I hope the picture helps define what is meant by lateral area.

    Hi
    Thank you for the answer.
Of course i do understand what it means LPA.
However my question was how to get this info from the GHS software, and to be sure it does not count the same LPA twice.
my original attached picture was to show that it can (and in reality) counts it twice. there is an Interface area which is overlapped instead of counting as same area when projected lateraly.

    Thank you

I do not know that software and sorry for my useless explanation. I thought you were talking about the lateral area projected onto the longitudinal plane. Sorry.
