    It's one of the many tunnels in the island forming part of the "levada" walks, specifically the 2300 m long tunnel of the Levada das Rabaças.

    I'm going to Madeira again in March, if you've never been it is highly recommended. Everywhere you look, you see how hard work has defied the difficulties presented by the mountainous terrain.
    Today, it is a lot easier to get around as they have driven tunnels and built viaducts all over the island. Even the airport is supported on concrete collumns at one end.
