What type of speed boat

    Probably not the best camera angle there, you might try a shot from the front/side.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Actually the best camera angle would be the upper right corner of the transom. This is where the HIN will be.

    If no HIN is present, then you have a pre 1973 vessel and tracking down what it is will just be a crap shoot, that someone might recognize. The title and/or registration will also have a HIN on it, which will tell you who built it.

    If you don't have the paper work on the boat, you're looking at a pain in the butt to get legal again. It can be done, but often is a lot of paper work and record searching. Try and find the state or manufacture issued HIN.
