Been detailing the boat for a two week stay in the islands. Hell, I even polished the hisso. When the labor Day crowds are headed to shore we'll be waving at them on the way out!

I'm guessing you don't mean a Curtis Jenny, so a hisso is? You have a WWI aeromotor in your boat?

Looks like she's breaking several speed laws just setting there.... let us know how she does.

Nursing hang overs most likely. You'de think a man of my age would know better.

I can probably drink about 15 cans of Skoll in one happy hour session, I don't do it daily though.

And still drive a motor bike home!!! Yeee ha,-- hic-- fart--

Actually it's an old joke. A hisso is allegedly a male herso.
I didn't even know about Hispano-Suiza Hisso engines till you made me look it up. It's just that I've been cleaning, waxing and polishing for most of a week and if the boat had a hisso it would sparkle.

None on the water yet, but I have this of the other side. The finish is typical race boat, smooth on the bottom, rolled topsides.

That red rocket was ahead of my Egress in the queue; Paul wanted to get it done because those guys were ready and waiting to start their build.

If I remember rightly, it was to be built up in Nova Scotia or some such place. So Paul probably won't be there in person to watch the trials; he'll have to depend on the guys playing with it for pic's and information.....

An image of trials with a mockup engine, which is about 65% of the HP the race engine has. She does what she's supposed to, rises up evenly, without a hump, nice trim, which she'll carry through acceleration, no proposing, etc. The few "full pulls" I saw on the video looked good, with no bad habits. I don't think they got into the "holly grail" territory on these runs, but the race engine will. Also the engine sounded like it might have been over propped, but all stuff you work out in trials. She's "clean, dry and level" which were some of the goals, as their last boat was a wet beast and danced around, with her nose in the air much of the time (old school warped bottom). This boat is monohedren.

When the race engine is dropped in and issues sorted, I'm sure. I'm just glad it floated where I told them to paint the boot stripe and she lifted evenly as speeds increased.
