Great, expect to see Mark and I show up some time. Also have a friend (working on a Colvin at the yard, living on Broadway) who will be keen on seeing your project. Wow, something else than ships going by happening in Iroquois! :)

I launched a 6-1/2' dinghy I'd repaired, and tried to figure out how to navigate a combination of high wind, river current, and ski boat wakes. Seat is too high and I think my oars were too long. Kept smacking my knees. Woulda been an easier test run if it wasn't for the damned biting flies that seemed to know I was trapped in an itty bitty boat. Adding a fly swatter to my equipment list.

Bought a fiberglass canoe that had been stored outdoors for years and was covered with fungus and filth. Washed it today and discovered over 40 punctures, gashes, and stars in the 'glass. Salvaged the gunwale molding and then cut it up with a jigsaw to turn it into a minicanoe planter for my sweetie.

Just goes to show again, that old boats never die they get recycled into something else that is appreciated and useful... So what does one do with an old sailor who has a broken hip???

Jees I expected better from you Landie?

Something as traditional as - "A Viking funeral before he started to stink too much? - at least some of the cooked meat would be considered edible... by the refo's heading for Australian waters anyway..."

Heck the USA scene has gone quiet ??? - Almost no intellectual discourse, Just impossible dreams and one or two doers like KnottyBoyz and Dskira, building escape machines...

Economic scene essays are particularly gloomy, or in full denial...

    Not quite!

I'm in full build mode, full time in the States. Materials will be ordered next week. Building is going up right now.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone it's an escape pod! :D

Most of us aren't awake at 2:59am. You must be feeling better, or the drugs are working. :D

CatBuilder, Visit my website and record your progress there (no-body visits so your secret will remain and you may find some familiar names behaving themselves...)

DianneB... Is that a shadow of the owner I can see? pity the image was not thumbnailed, then we could run it through the "enhancenemt software"... and uncover your secrets :D

Hoytedow... "What is the difference between broke and busted? You broke your hip but US busted the bank." I beg to differ the USA is BROKE and deeply in debt (broke AND busted), My hip-bone broke and "what a *******", (not "busted" - the doctors say a "full hip replacement" - Faaaark no - I will suffer the limp with "dignity" and wear a parrot on my shoulder - Harrrrrrrrrgh Me Hearties, another rhum it be then... A good brown rum from Bundaberg... and the talking Polar-bear in a tree...

That confiscated opium makes good quality morphine - small white pills in 'alfoil' blister packs - Feel no pain - constipation (a side effect) and difficulty sleeping... (good dreams though for those pure of mind - apparently bad thoughts invoke bad dreams - Tra-la, la, la - happy are those who are happy.... - even the tone deaf..)
