    Hi NaughtyBoyz,

You bought marine ply to build a bow shed ?

Do boat builders go to the extremes or what. You better glass and epoxy the bow shed... Just glad you aren't going to make a mould for the shed first.

I see the shed gets a red 'outboard' motor too, in the upper picture top right.
    You are organized eh :D

The picture on the marine ply. What does the BS stand for and what is the heap (pile) I see in the circle. The BS ? :D

More BS? The "pile" is Mt. Fuji. Mt. Foedji

Manufactured to the international standard BS 1088, this form of imported Marine plywood utilises veneers from untreated tropical hardwood species that have a known level of resistance to fungal attack. BS 1088 Marine is produced with A Bond Phenol Formaldehyde which is often referred to as WBP. The faces should be free from imperfections and the edge should not contain core gaps.

Don't quit your day job and become a stand up comedian there Fanie! :p

I kinda figured a couple of weed whacker outboard conversions would make good prime movers eh?

My shed will be a typical Stimson Marine bow shed covered in shrink wrap plastic. I bought all the kit to do that so I might set myself up with some sideline work shrink wrapping boats in the fall! I mean the ole' woman can only work so many overtime hours to pay for all this boatbuilding stuff right? :D

Damn, and here I am thinking I was progressing in life

Seems we're in the same boat here. The old witch is on her broom in the shops too much. Since I don't get any b j 's her in the shops is the only bit of silence I get.

I'm relieved to see you also build boats the normal way. You first aquire piles of boating materials all over the show then realize you don't have a space to build it in. Oh well, seems to work everywhere ;)

I'm sure the shelving :D is going to work well. Like Lubbie pointed out

those planks will not have many cavities or core gaps for the fiberglass to bond to... :D

    Im a bit confused
you bought a kit and it came as a bunk of plywood

a kit kinda implies that something is done for you
a bunk of ply is not a lot of help other than what you could have done for yourself
    or am I missing something

    Hi NaughtyBoyz,

Welcome to the exclusive club of "build-your-own" boat-building fraternity... I hope you will maintain a regular photographic record...

As grandson might say "Missed it Grampa"...

A shed? Gee, I could use a shed! All I did in the last 2 weeks was acquire another boat, a 1966 Lone Star "Cruise Liner III", a 24 foot cabin cruiser that is more comfortable for extended vacations than my 21 foot Sylvan bow-rider.

    Hi KnottyBuoyz,

I'd love to see the boat come together, when are you starting the building? I walk my dogs by the locks several times a week, Iroquois isn't big you must be somewhere close.

    cheers,
    Murielle

    Hi Murielle

Hopefully we'll start this fall. I have to build the bow shed yet. We're on Hustler in Iroquois just south of Thompsons Lumber Store. You'll be able to see the big blue shed once it's up. Stop in anytime.
