    An interesting bit of trivia: It seems when the icicles bring down the power lines, the gas furnaces with electrically ignited burners quit working, leaving the home cold. Still want to outlaw fireplaces there in Maryland? Heat pumps or gas furnaces; they both need electricity to run. How do you re-charge the electric snow-plow? Hasn't been invented yet? Probably because its a stupid idea.

    Bring back Ben Franklin stoves and fireplaces...and don't forget the trusty strike anywhere matches. F'ing nanny-state will kill us all!
