Seen a similar thing once, wrong pack sizes turned up, assumption made on which was base/hardener & a big day of mixing resin & microballoons - one side of a 50 footer with a beautiful screed of delicious chocalate coloured filler applied, set up........ like rubber, wouldn't sand, wouldn't wash, poor bugger had to carve the lot off with a keen chisel about a 1/2 inch cut at a time. Great lesson in reading instructions & specifications to become familiar with the particular product.

We've all done this at some point, it happens, you learn, become more anal about mixing ratios and move on. Yep, it sucks, but you had to learn some how. Scrape, cuss, then sand, cuss some more and eventually, you'll have this lesson well ingrained into your memory.

I worked for the West System distributor in NL. Sometimes you have a lot of fun talking to people on the phone:

    -my epoxy does not cure
-did you mix in the right ratio?
-mix with what? You mean I also should use the small container?

    or

-your epoxy cured before I was able to use it
    -what did you do exactly?
-I mixed your 30 kg (some 70 lbs) pack, then poured it into the boat, and start rolling it upwards, to coat the wood.

    or

-what solutions do you have to removed cured epoxy?
-on what surface is the epoxy, and how much?
-it is on the carpet in the living room, some 2 kgs...
