transom seal

    hi im new at this so dont be alarmed if i do it wrong. I have a 1977 imp with a omc out drive and 351 cleveland motor. i am looking for info on replacing the transom seal. any help would be appreciated.::confused: :

    Drop down about i8 posts, and you will see a post that is titled as
    Is replacing and transom seal a do-it-yourself thing.

    The reference is to the 400 series OMC outdrive, and yours might be the 800 series, however the principle is the same.

    thanks Titanic for your reply. it seems all the shops around here want about $300.00 labor to put it in. i sure hope it will stretch that much . thanks again
