well he is on vacation till summers end and I'm not feeling like any error lies on his part, I was warned however that the mail is mind bending slow in Canada and so it seems reasonable to just wait it out.

    cheers

    Who told you that?

Last month,it took 2 weeks for a small package to get from Florida to Seattle, then 2 days (including customs) to my door.

As for third world, u should look in the mirror.

    `several people
and my apologies if you got the wrong impression of my attitudes towards Canada
I never said third world other than to specify "no"
as in Canada is in no way a third world country
on the contrary its a dam nice place that I have visited many times
all in all a much nicer group of folks than you typically get down here in the states

    cheers

    ps
    you forget
my mother was from the Canadian side and my first language was French
or at least till I went to school where they drummed English into me as best they could and I forgot most of my French

lol, that's funny. It was me that made the thrid world reference and only by comment at that.

Mail between my sister in Ottawa and the west coast takes three days and between Calgary and here (500 miles/800 km) only two!

Again, I don't think the mail system is your problem but I could be wrong.

P.S. Thanks for the nice compliments on Canada Boston.

The first week was getting to Georgia. :p Why would a package from Florida to Washington have to go through customs? Did it get routed through Canada?

holly **** thats it right there
    customs

paper typically has no value so is not an issue with customs but

blue prints might be a whole different story

An apple and first prize for figuring out my hint....

I import stuff from Asia into the US and Canada and Customs is always a wild card.
300 minibikes in 2 containers and they don't care, but a case of silicon tape and they rip it apart

Get this, every time I've had an envelope Fedex'd from the US,fedex charges $40-50 to "clear" it thru customs for me...which involves just them stamping it and putting a sticker on..

No offense taken...BTW had you thought of looking at Craigslist on the west coast-San diego thru Vancouver??
Maybe search for trawler,or on different prices- as CL has no categories other than "Boat" you'll get engine bolts thru to yachts.

This is alum and out of your price but this would do you maybe,if I didn't have a nice boat already i'd get this..and its a Matsumoto
