Here is a tiller extension that might let you sit a bit more forward.

    New prop has 3 blades.
Boat has not been loaded with more than 750 # so there is a good safety margin as to free-board. So far it hasn't planed(more fiddling to do) so max hull speed lacking that seems to be 8.3 mph. I plowed head on into some healthy wakes and the nose would not bury itself no matter how hard I tried to make it happen. I had an escort boat standing by just in case. I will report any future findings.
Between-hull modifications are being considered in addition to other modifications previously discussed.

I am going to build one with a bit of PVC pipe. I will post photos of that when it is completed.

I read someplace you can use a piece of hose pipe to join it to the tiller, but the plumbing dept of a hardware store carries rubber pipe connectors that connect pipes of different sizes: this one's too big but there's probably one that will fit the throttle - they come complete with hose clamps.

Yes you can use PVC pipe then you can stand up like an olde salty,--if you get a polo neck jumper and a small black and white dog called wuffy.

If you want to go the whole hog you can grow a beard and growl at everybody in your way and blow pipe smoke everywhere. Dont forget to spill beer down the front of your shirt for a real effect.

Thing about this is that you will no longer be pestered by young girls wanting to kiss you -- 100% sure of this.

Might be best to just start with a bit of pipe and see how we go.

Hoyt, a cruise control clamp for a motorcycle should work.

Messabout, or anyone, what was meant by put a bottom between the hulls? Doesn't that just make it a flat bottom boat, a garvey?

Thanks. I may choose a garvey for my next build if there is one.

Yes that will make it a garvey. It will then lack the pizazz of a catamaran but it will work a whole lot better in this particular case. It will have more space, eliminate the tween hull wash problem and make the motor much happier. Hoyt wants to go faster and the garvey is likely to be good for 25 or so which is somewhat better than the current 8+/-

Doesn't have to go on the bottom, could be higher - that would make it a tunnel hull I guess. I recall renting a power cat years ago that was like that, it went very well on a fairly low-power motor and made remarkably little wake. It seemed the wakes of the two hulls canceled each other out to a considerable degree.
