    Congratulations to the team and what a great result. I'm impressed that he wants to go back and try and do it in under 24 hours rather than resting on his laurels and it's surely within the boats potential.

    From Scuttlebutt tonight:

    The World Sailing Speed Record Council has ratified a new Sydney to Hobart (AUS) record. Set by Sean Langman (AUS) and two crew onboard the ORMA 60 Team Australia on Feb 23, 2013, the team covered the 630 nm route in 1 day 5 hours 52 minutes and 23 seconds for an average speed of 22 knots.
