I have changed my mind from that boat due to its high consumption of fuel.
I am currently looking at this Wooden yacht Astarte, due to its impressive design, light sail and beauty. Its also was made in 1960 and I couldn’t find the designer.

I think this is my dreamboat after many years of thinking.

The youtube shows how smooth she is:

By the way its for sell at 350k$ (she is 60 years old now) but I want to build it in the wood/epoxy system and have it for another 50 years or so

So I have to design it and I received quotations from 20k-200k $.
I received quotations from both Turkish and Egyptian boat builders ranging from 400k-2500k $.
If you could help find this design or help me with designing or if I could do this design with members of this website, I'll be so grateful.

    Many thanks,
    Ayman

The Sutton built boat is based on a William Garden design called Nereus, drawn in 1961. Lenght overall is 85', waterline 75' with 20'6" beam and 8'6" draft. Design displacement was 320,000 lbs with 40,000 in ballast. Nereus1.jpg Nereus2.jpg Nereus3.jpg Nereus4.jpg Nereus5.jpg Nereus6.jpg
