suggestions for a small narrow hull for rough seas

    85 trophy bayliner transome

    i got tis boat from a freind and the inside plywood was already take out off the transome, i put a piece o 3/4" plwood back in and put a layer of mat and a layer of roven on it will that be enough for the transome or not? theres only a 4 cyl volvo and a 270 volvo leg goin back in ,and the motor mount are going to be done also, any advice would be great , thanks guys

    Your transom needs to be in the neighborhood of 1 5/8 to 2 1/8 inches.
    You would probably get more help if you started a thread in boatbuilding under fiberglass and composite boatbuilding.

    Check out the Caribiana sea skiff. Built for open ocean, very smooth.
    I went for a test ride the day after a huricane came through. No slamming 20kts easy.
