...true, human stupidity is not lacking in most industries....the specifically made glues for the purpose DO work well and do not cause any harm...if used as per the specification on the can...USE MINIMAL......unfortunately some people mate never learn, so i guess that is why they have banned them entirely...good idea if they are that dumb...but then why are they making aircraft anyhow.....gives me lots of security to fly....

 

In Aerospace construction, certain types of shaving cream are also not allowed, for their silicone based lubricants.

Boats are not aerospace industry.

I build ultra light carbon fiber/kevlar infused canoes and have been using a very light spray coat of 3M 77 over the PVA for years without any surface issues. I do use a layer of 4 oz. S glass to improve surface abrasion before laying the carbon.
