Steadying sail

    That hull looks to me like the standard 26 foot motor life boat that all the older coast Guard cutters carried. If you google uscg 26 foot motor surf boat you'll see lots of them that have been converted to recreational use.

    20200612_183115.jpg Mine is quite different than a motor surf boat, the surf boat is more of a semi-displacement hull as evidenced by the larger horsepower engines used in them and the higher speeds they're capable of. They do share some similarities appearance wise but ultimately different animals. This is what I ended up with after the expediency of finding a cheap aluminum pilothouse.
