    Is the OP not asking how to determine the pulling capacity of the current winch not the initial design requirements?

    Is the intake of electric energy by the winch motor known? Its power losses (motor, gear, etc.)? The dimensions of the (supposed) cable drum and its torque output?

    It depends on several conditions. For example, slope of the ways, surface material, speed and type/efficiency of the electric motor.
