Skin on frame canoe

    Hi guys,

    I have began my first boat build a skin on frame canoe I am documenting the process in video.

    Stu, it looks like you are doing a nice job with the moulds. What you are doing is tedious, demands careful craftsmanship, and is also pretty much routine canoe building practice.

    I/we encourage you to soldier on until the project is complete.

    Your thread title says skin on frame. Does that mean that you will be making the outer part of the boat, the outer part that keeps the water out, of canvas or similar material? SOF usually implies canvas, nylon, animal skin, or whatever. I suspect that you are going to "strip build", not SOF. Please tell us more and keep us posted about your progress.
