I think it would be very interesting to see how often people change shaft anodes.

Please donate your shaft information as below example.

    2X 24 inch bronze 4 blade props. 4 foot 2.5 inch st/st shafts

    Batteries mostly on/off= off

    Anode life 10 months

    Hull type = Fibre glass

    I have 2 boats I own and 2 I maintain.

My first boat is 35' wood hulls 4 blade prop 21/4 shaft 5lb Annode every 2 years with 20%+ left.

2nd Boat is a 26' Alum hull 3 blade prop 1" shaft. 2Lb shaft annode and 20lb hull annodes....change every 2 years with 20%+ left.

Boat 3 and 4 are both steel with 3 blade props I have over 40 lbs of hull annodes on them, no a ctuall shaft or prop annode. Again I change them every 2 years with about 20% left.

I also use a throw in 20 lb annode that I attach via 6 ga wire to the engine block when the boats will be tied up for a long period of time.
