    What is the purpose of Rescue vessel?? Can Someone please provide a detailed explanation with types of rescue vessels.?? i came across
    1) submarine rescue vessel
    2)SAR vessels
    3)ETV
    4)Rescue and salvage ships etc..

    how are they different??

    each rescue vessel is designed to perform a special mission.

    The purpose is to provide assistance in emergencies, ie rescue.
    The type is specific to the conditions, type of emergency, etc.

    I realise your talking about typical rescue vessels but after some experience I always think the vessel you are on is the rescue vessel, no trying to be smart, just something that clicked with me.
