Guys, need advice. We have water in nidacore through the all hull what is underwater. Attached videos and photos.

At first one year ago we have an accident with another boat, we close hole with epoxy and after one year lift boat up to paint antifoil. Than we drill one hole under crack and there was a lot of water, than we drill few holes (you can see on video).

Than we check another side - there was no cracks but the same - a lot of water.

Question is what we have to do? How danger it for the boat?

So what you're saying is the whole core under the waterline is saturated ?

I'd start with a call to Nidacore.

What is the resin system ?

It was about 10cm above the rib under crack. Another side of the boat without any cracks also full of water, Big question how water can travel through the hull. We used vynilester and polyester resin

I don't have much to offer for your situation I'm afraid, other than ripping it off to the inside skin and using pvc foam. Perhaps do it in large strips and swapping your bulkhead supports.

Here is Derek Kelsalls opinion of Nidacore.

Interesting article, redreuben, and the prologue that announces there is nothing about sandwich construction worth knowing that he doesn't know, suggests he is not a man plagued by self-doubt ! :D

Have you come to any conclusions yet ?

we close with epoxy and bring back to water. hope to return all money in one year

Who built the boat?

How long has it been in service?

What size, and type catamaran?

Does it appear that the water migrated along the skin-to-core bold line?...or can you tell??

Still looking for some answers if you can give them

Go Derek! There's a man who doesn't mince his words. :D

Cut through the skin at the low point, hope it drains out?? If water is traveling through the cells, Either the skin has separated the poly from the honeycomb core, or the poly was not wetted out enough to provide a waterproof layer. Your best chance is that runs true for the whole lamination, **** runs downhill. Drain it, patch it, wait for the leftover water vapor to slowly eat the rest of the boat. Crappy situation.
