Yes, that one is worse, and still very cluttered.

Is white paint cheaper and longer lasting than coloured? Some of those tubs
might look better with creative livery.

I think it would take more than vinyl wrap to sort out that cat, there's curves fighting with sharp edges fighting with high slab sides; and what's the story with the weird bow windows?

I thought that in many instances it had something to do with trying to keep the hull and interior cool, something that may change as thermally reflective coatings become better.

True. But I thought that in some cases different colours could be used to
soften some of those sharp edges. Maybe some kind of pattern would help, but
then again, we've all seen "mutton dressed as leopard" or whatever that saying is.

These are the latest offerings from Jaguar cats, the first is a lot better than the Leopard, the second is another styling disaster.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and handsome is as handsome does, so I don't think you can be too dogmatic about where pretty ends and ugly starts.

Only where either is well and fully developed, perhaps?

Did any one ever build Hand's Eclipse design? That one looks like it would be really nice.

Forest Gump is one of my all time favorite films, must have watched it at least a dozen times......[joke]

here's my amateurish effort at a fix, shorten the long superstrucure window at it's front, split the hull windows into two, and lose the lower rear hull windows completely...

Again, we have never paid attention to when planing speed begins--that really isn't very important. The desirable features of the new V-bottom design are that it runs better (smoother, more comfortable) in both flat water and waves, and its turning control is a lot better. This has been verified by a few experts in the Cobra Mark.

The Cobra design was Chris Craft's first venture into fiberglass molding--the tail fin and engine cover are all fiberglass. As I state on my website: "Only a little more than 100 Cobras were built, about 60 or so of the 21s, and even fewer of the 18s, and they sold for only one model year, 1955. The Cobras are now one of the most sought-after classic boats because of their iconic design." There is an owners club that meets every few years to enjoy each other's boats, and there are usually one or two down here in Florida every year at the Sunnyland Boat Show in March.

One of my all-time favorite powerboat designs, from Michael Peters' office, is Alpha Z, built by Van Dam Boatbuilders in Michigan. I attach a copy of the photo that Michael pasted here on this forum on his designer page.

I agree, otherwise we would be all married to the same woman. That would be a problem.

When I was a kid, the Fairey Huntsman and Swordsman were the acme of motorboats to me. Here's a Huntsman and some Huntresses in 'from Russia with love.' Sean Connery also features.

Be happy if someone can show me a way of downsizing that stonker with code, without downloading and resizing on my computer

I believe that in Tibet each woman can have up to four husbands.
In contrast the King of Bhutan has four wives, all sisters.

...looks like it's Bhutan for me then!
