Powercats seaworthiness ?

Are there any papers on powercat (under 60 ft) seaworthiness and stability on the net ?

Also are there codes or rules for structure and stability that apply to small powercats ?

Thanks but that thread does not deal with powercats.

I have also found there is ISO 12215-7 rule, but still in draft stage.

 

I do not know if there are papers on the seaworthness of a cat but I will tell you first hand that the cat is the best riding boat on the water. when I was in alaska I was a deck hand on a 32' cat and it was more sea worthy than a 55' v hull!!! you would have to talk to the coast gaurd about codes and rules(different in all areas) when building one thought a good rule of thumb is lenght to beam should be at least 7 to 1 will make a safe. boat hope it helped
