What is the best foam to use for a plug?

What do I use to seal the foam so I can start the mold making process?

I think the cheapest, PVC foam (spray-on).

Apply a thin layer of epoxy filler. You get a smooth surface by sanding this. then wax it (apply release agent).

    Good luck
