Voith Schneider propeller on a Winans Cigar ship

In an attempt to out do wacky design ideas that I have seen on here that go no where, I put forth the following: A Winans Cigar ship with a Voith Schneider propeller units fore and aft. Naturally we will have to do away with the steam engine and use diesel engines with a snorkel since the decks tend to go awash in heavy seas. (lounging on deck is overrated, ask anyone from Seattle or London)

Am I missing anything to make this a resounding success?

Lots if osmium...

 

Osmium is a little expensive at $36 a gram. Its much cheaper around here to get depleted uranium at $1.11 a gram.

Whats your opinion on using Rubidium for leak detection?

 

No any type of float switch or wet probe will work. But, I wasn't kidding about the ballast. You should do a motion study. There is reason modern submarines are designed for 60 dergee rolls on the surface.
