What I was pointing out in IPCC's own operating principles is FIRST came the presumptuous presumption that climate change eons old process is induced or caused by human activity. They're not proposing a hypothesis for study.
They consider THIS an irrefutable fact and guiding first principle.
THEN they seek scientific basis to support that conjecture.
The climate models they commissioned were designed to support that principle.

This is agenda driven science, agenda perverted science. NOT GOOD SCIENCE>

What is behind the insistence that man causes climate change?
The political agenda is and was to acquire power for the UN to tax industry in wealthy nations for the purpose of bribing dictators and corrupt bureaucrats in poor nations. The guise is aid to poor nations, but the aid doesn't escape politicians clutches.
Bribe them to do what? Maurice Strong was the driving personality behind the creation of IPCC and its first director. An avowed socialist, and indicted corrupt international gangster, he was stripped of his many service honor awards and forced to resign from UN over his corrupt UN program Oil for Food.
The bribes were to support socialist initiatives.

As to promises of objectivity, transparency, honesty?
I think lawyers call that boiler plate. In other words automatic always included bull crap.

If climatologists, by definition of their science by IPCC, are in the business of proving human induced climate change, you're only going to get AGW slanted data/POV from them. Tahdah! Simply amazing!

Those climatologists actually researching if humans are causing climate change, get dumped on by the AGWers when ever they publish anything contrary to the "consensus".

Since climate change affects the whole earth, why wouldn't other scientists, especially earth sciences, have valid opinions? I think they have MORE valid opinions being untainted by politicized objectives. Or hopefully LESS tainted!
Climatologists studying and tweaking their computer model crystal balls (designed and dedicated to support AGW) have no valid claim to know more than scientists studying actual events and phenomenon.

(Didn't I predict other scientists would be dismissed as "lesser" scientist? And us mere mortals don't have anything of value to say. Except when we VOTE to defund and eject these crooks! We need to out vote the high school dropouts voting for AGW programs.)

college dropouts aren't high school dropouts.
You can't get accepted in to college without at least a GED

Okay, Myark. Next time you need heart surgery we'll send you to the local butcher. And the next time you need a bridge built we'll send you a third-grader who has just gotten his first Lego Set for Christmas. [IMG]

But what really happened with the folks you mentioned above, is not that they dropped out of the educational process, but that they instead "transferred" to a "school" more capable of dealing with their genius. Their exception only confirms the rule for those of us less talented.

Underground volcanoes causing Antarctic ice sheet to melt, not global warming.
In my opinion these earthy hot spots come and go in strength over millenia.

So these volcanoes are not contributing for the melting , it is the cause of the melting.

And apparently also under the arctic ice is volcanism

Perhaps they will say the earth is rifting apart due to AGW!

Ah! some real science for a change. How refreshing.
    Thankyou Sdowney717 and imaginarynumber

We are over due for a pole shift. If it happens, when it happens, I hope it's the gentle kind.
The north pole is migrating faster and faster toward Russia.
    Wonder where it will stop?
Where will the new south pole be?

U.S. Government Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B. Goldenberg said, “It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic global warming.”

In the fall of 2012 the UK Meterological office released a report that stated:

“The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week.

Rajendra Pachauri, head of the United Nations IPCC has Acknowledged the pause in warming.

That post is blatantly dishonest, since the "pause" has been explained both in this thread and on just about any scientific site on the web, more than once, and you know it.

(Yes moderators, I realise this is pushing the bonds of civility, but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade)

Incorrect Noeyedeer. Stating my honest assessment of facts is NEVER dishonest. I don't think you are dishonest, just misguided.

What has been attempted in reference to the PAUSE, in this thread and numerous articles and apologies, is to EXCUSE the pause from consideration.
Nope, it is of considerable importance! Meaning important to be considered.
It is NOT explained away, no matter how desperately you wish it were.
The PAUSE of 16 years and longer completely DESTROYS the concept that CO2 drives climate.
We ALL recognize that consequence, including AGWers, hence their desperation to ignore, deny, excuse, spin, explain away, the temperature rise pause.

It's NOT explained away, and not going away. Just as, unfortunately AGW propaganda isn't going away.
    Propaganda works.
Influences people vulnerable to propaganda, ie those looking for a cause, and those prone to panic.
People already having firm belief systems are less vulnerable and more stoic. "Those who believe in nothing will fall for anything"

The entire CO2 global warming movement was a fraudulent scam cooked up by socialist racketeer Maurice Strong and associates, in the UN.
Under UN auspices, attempts to give it a sense of legitimacy doesn't succeed since the UN is pure corrupt politics. Well known.

The relatively new science of climatology (study of climate) was RE-DEFINED and perverted by IPCC, while Strong was it's first director.
For nefarious political and racketeering reasons. (call a spade a spade as you recommend, Noeyedeer)
Climatology predominantly became the study of HUMAN caused climate change, by the "consensus" UN funded/recruited climatologists, while those actually objectively studying climate are abused and shunned when NOT supporting AGW POV.

This priory principle, human induced climate change, is discredited.
It was a ridiculous concept, as science, from the beginning, considering the eons of constant climate change predating man.
Worked profitably as a clever scam though.

No significant warming for nearly two decades makes human induced climate change a lie and fraud valued at billions or trillions of tax payer dollars.
Imagine the GOOD things could have been done with this money stolen by crooked politicians.
Climate change is ALWAYS happening, but disconnected from human activity.

    Now. Another matter.
    Imminent pole shift or reversal.
Earths magnetic field has been weakening at an accelerating rate for past 300 years.
Its been more than 700,000 years since last reversal. Prior to that, reversals happened multiple times approximately every 200,000 years.
    Long overdue.
Scientists have learned a rapidly weakening magnetic field and proliferation of magnetic anomalies heralds a pole shift or reversal.
Just such as we are experiencing NOW!

This is REAL science, not socialist spin..... Though it wouldn't surprise me if they claimed humans were somehow the cause, if they can make political hay and money from panic over it.

There may be some connection with the weakening magnetic field and some of the warming we have experienced in previous decades, recent centuries.
Our weakening protective force field is letting in more radiation, particularly at the poles.
May explain some of increased incidence of cancers also.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikxDnMI7kDM

This NOVA episode starts off weak, apparently aimed at young school kids, but then about 30% into the program begins upgrades for more mature audiences as it ultimately gets into some complicated science in the last 30%, all presented in terms for lay persons.
    Excellent graphics and animations. Enjoy.
This is Not scare mongering. The shift IS inevitable and unpreventable, so panic is useless. Question is how SOON!
