    That's a good one, Captain Obvious. Water has no agenda, it just freezes a 0 degrees Celsius unless you add something like vodka, then it freezes at a lower temperature.

    Luckily he's carrying a rifle, so he can hold it across the hole when he falls through the surface . . :eek:

    A bit of a pity he didn't lit the methane when it escaped, since after incineration it's less harmful to the environment regarding global warming issues . . :(

    Pretty sobering. The thawing of the Arctic and the release of sequestered methane and soil carbon could create self-reinforcing runaway warming.

    We keep screwing up like this, I'm more concerned about how well they work in steam, not ice.
