that is how the rest of the world views US presidents which has a lot to do with your system of how one becomes the US president

    Ummmmm - no.

I can't decide if you're trolling or just ignorant.

    *RUSSIA* is still in existence.

    The *USSR* is defunct.

There is a big, big difference. I'm sorry that your information sources haven't allowed you to realise this.

    What is the subject ! ! !

Gooday 'Boston' - I'm using this original post of yours to answer the question put by 'whitepointer' - - some 81 pages ago & 1204 posts ago - as to what the subject matter was all about in the very beginning.

I'm sorry I don't know if the 'Gulf Stream' has stopped or not.

It's so hard to stay 'on subject' with the likes of 'barnacle-bum' & his very 'loaded' comments. WOW - what an attitude problem some people do have ! ! !

Guess some of you can put me on 'ignor' also - cause some to the comments in here sure do show a total lack of global understanding - for sure.

By the way - I'm an ex-pat Canuck - live in Oz - travelled a tad for over 65 years (I'm now 72) & just for the official record - "Lots (not with an ') of people are sorry they aren't American" Well spoken - like a good R-W-&-B yank - but I'd beg to differ with you.

America is not he center of everyone's universe - ther are multiple millions of people - just like me - that wouldn't be - or become American - if you asked us to do so - which you are not about to do. This continude diatribe about - "how bloody great we are" just SUCKS - - truely it does. Problem is that you's' guys believe all that crap & the rest of the world does not. I don't expect Americans will ever learn enough about - the world outside of America to ever understand - but Please - save us the small minded attitude - we don't need it nor do we believe it either. You-all have a great day - we-all wish you well - so lets talk about the 'subject matter' & take your poiltics to the - Sailing Anarchy Political Discussion board. Thanks & Ciao, james

If that happened to be the only time Frosty had badmouthed Americans and their country, I wouldn't even have blinked. But he makes a habit of it; he dumps on America and Americans at the drop of a hat. I see no reason to continue putting up with him.

And frankly, I don't think the way we select our presidents is any more irrational and erratic than the way most of the world winds up with national leaders.....

Where do you get these bs stories?

Apparently I screwed up when I tried to put you on ignore; I'll have another crack at it.

Troy, I respect a lot of your posts, but I think a thicker skin is needed here. I see things from a fairly unusual perspective as an Englishman who has spent most of his life in America and has dual citizenship.

To be utterly frank, the usual American "We are great and the healers of the world" nonsense is truly obnoxious to most people around the globe, Frosty merely reflects that. After the Iraq invasion, for example, in Europe I would be in conferences and Canadians in presentations found themselves forced to say things like "Don't worry, I'm not an American - I'm not here to kill you".

I'm serious, not trying to pull a silly trick here, the above example is an actual quotation from a respected man in the field I used to represent. And you have to be honest - when the rest of the world looks at second-rate actors like Ronnie Reagan and nepotistic examples like George W. Bush somehow insanely getting elected as President, they honestly ask - good grief - what the hell is happening in America? And getting back to the main subject - America is viewed all around the world as the main culprit in sabotaging any advance in mitigating climate change.

I think some humility is needed here.

Boston and another member he was fighting with, got kicked out of the forum.

All the quotas for imigration to the US from every country are full each year and we also have millions of illegal immigrants in the US.
But you also are correct, there are those who DON'T want to live in the US.
My comment had a big grinning smiley after it, indicating I was not entirely serious. I WAS serious that some americans are sorry examples.
But you can be offended if you want to. :D

    Ray
The USA isn't a "culprit" for not endorsing MAN MADE CATASTROPHIC CLIMATE CHANGE!
A majority of us don't believe in it, inspite of the false claims of warmists. The votes are what count, not propaganda. And we consistently vote against AGW measures.
We won't be panicked or forced into adopting your psuedo-science philosophy.
And China is the biggest emitter orf CO2, and you didn't even mention China. :)

Many american westerners and southerners wear high heels. But we don't wiggle walk.
We just like wearing our cowboy boots. Goes with our stetsons. :)

you get obnoxious people from any country. australians used to have a good rep around the world but thanks to the current generation of loudmouthed drunken aussie tourists we are losing cred to. it is certainly not limited to the usa.

some people take things i say in derision, as my point of view.
Like recently my remark about the US taking over the world.
They ignore all my previous posts AGAINST one world government, and then take the one sarcastic post about a US ruled world and assume that's my true opinion.
    And then they get offended.
People sometimes look for things to get offended about. :)

I didnt know that!! he was always the one trying to keep it together. But he did lose it a bit over that kid with a chip on his shoulders.

Its difficult to understand how as a professional bouncer he let that kid get the better of him.

Oh well nothing I can do but if there is ever a vote to get him back you got mine.
