Oh dear I dont mean to bash Americana but that IS American life --debt debt and buy things on the never never as we call it.

Ive never ever bought anything on deb.t Ive bought with a credit card that has a direct debit mandate and I had a mortgage for 2 years when I was 19--thats it.

If you dont have the money to buy 2 then you cant afford it.

Careful, Frosty. At your age it could take a while to heal up, if you sprain your arm patting yourself on the back like that....:(

If people didn't buy a house until they could pay cash for it, most of them would be renters for the rest of their lives -- because rent would suck up the money that would otherwise go to house payments. Who in his right mind would rather enrich landlords than build equity in his own home?

No - I didnt mean you needed twice to buy a house. Or am I patting myself on the back just trying to instill another way of life than American Debt and how I see it.

I was brought up as a runny nose kid with a cup of coccoa and suger and a tea spoon as we could not afford twinkies as you call them.

Ok then unnecessary items need twice before you can afford it.

Suzie Ormon show is a laugh. Why would you ask her if you could buy a BMW at 22.

I would deny all of them for being dumb

yes there is a need to borrow but one day you need to pay it back,
that's the part that seems to be missing these days.

Outside of the UK in Europe, many people will never own property as its value is enormous versus wages and the people that own them have had them in the families for generations.
Cheap cash raised the cost, only the rich had the deposit so the rest missed out.
When I was living in the UK the gov let the banks do 110% loan for a second mortgage.
That added 100,000 quid on a one bed flat overnight in London, great for property owners, a real killer for those trying to get on the market.

You watch too much television, Frosty. I had to look up Suze Orman on Wikipedia to find out who she was....

But I remember a comment about Dr. Laura, who was popular on the radio a few years ago: "if you're so clueless you have to ask a talk-show host what to do with your life, it probably beats flipping a coin." :)

    Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
    Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.

Cable is old stuff get a dish and fire it at satelites.

    Hoyt, ' i before e except after c' is incorrect I before c except before c. sorry I before an I is not before a c.

Iether starts with i that is not before any c, there is no c in iether or there is no c in Iraq and thats why they wanted Kuwait that does have a c Hope thats clear ?

---we invented the language,- Ille let you use it if you want.

By the way 'an' and not a is used in front of a vowel as in AEIOU.

Example a hotel or an umbrella.
