does anyone else think all this GW crap is just to deflect the issue that rather than die from imminent drought or flood ( hard to tell what GW will bring) that everyone in the west will be dirt poor compared to the rest of the world in 20-30 years and cant afford to live any more?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_the_economy,_stupid

I can see the sweat shops to make iphones ( for Asians ) will be in America with American slaves who owe the rest of the world big. Of course there will be a few at the top with no need to work.

I can see a great set of statistics showing a relationship with countries that are fully GDD ( global debt deniers ) and how hard they press for GW media inches versus cashed up countries, I guess the west cant just declare war on someone to deflect the current problem like the 3rd world does

I think that is their whole purpose, to break the western economy, which they seem to be succeeding to do.

So I guess 'they' went out and melted the Arctic ice to further their evil schemes?

That was done by the Sun. Are calling it an evil part of an evil conspiracy?

It is truly going to be a very cold winter.

If someone went out and melted the Arctic ice to further a nefarious scheme sometime in the past, my history books have neglected to mention it....

I ignored the gratuitous, irrelevant slam against Obama -- although I know you'd love to frame the global warming debate as one of red-blooded, conservative, patriotic Americans against wishy-washy, European-style socialism and America-hating,freedom-hating liberal Democrats.... If only it were that simple.

The facts are that there is no record of such an abrupt change in Arctic ice anywhere in recorded history, or in the prehistoric geological record. It seems to be unprecedented.

But your response is a pretty typical piece of denial: obfuscate, sidetrack, and turn it into a political or cultural debate instead of a scientific one.

it is all tongue in cheek....
private sector shrinking and governments growing is typical of the west these days.
One great statistic that is always published in the UK every year (i'll try tio find it) is for the average and median wage calculated out to one year of tax added together and divided by 365 so you know the day in the year where you stop working for the government and start getting money for yourself.
I always though that was a great measure of are we better off or worse off each year.
