It worked out well enough. It still had too much rocker to hit top speed of the engine when running light, but you could carry a ton of stuff in it, and when it blew, which was all winter, we would be the smallest craft out oceanside tending traps. You were required to pull your crab traps every few days or face fines. And bayside just didn't yield crabs like these.


You can see the half-floor grate I used. You can also see the amount of warp in the deadrise, which is too much for this amount of power. It should to be more prismatic - less deadrise midship and more deadrise aft. This was better suited to 5 hp and 6 knots than 20 hp and 15 knots.
