I live on the Red Sea, where wind factor is 4-5 beaufort 75% of the time. I am looking for advice on a type of hull (v, Cat, other) that would best operate in these conditions, and give me a relatively dry ride. Size about 32feet center console power by twin O/B or sterndrives.

I already own a 25 footer that I can use on fair windy days.

I was looking at Ken Hankinson's "Cruise missile" Tunnel slot design 32ft, but I am wondering that if this type of hull is as good as they pretend, how come we don't see manufacturers produce them in their line.

Any comments? can anybody help me make up my mind ?

Gerard, it really depends on how fast you want to go in the conditions you describe.....

Thanks for your prompt reply

In wind speed of 2-3 Knts required boat speed 30Knts, + would even be better to reach the fishing spots.

I am looking for a comfortable dry ride in rougher seas, I am aware that if I was to look at higher speeds in rough sea then I would have to look at bigger boats and engines, I often go out alone and do not want a big boat to handle.
