My objections to Zero's new Health care plan.

GO WARD GO!!! It always seems that the conservative argument these days is laced with anger and a repudiation of the clear facts. They also cannot seem to have a conversation without spouting out their "be afraid word of the moment". SOCIALISM, I'm sooo scared. The fact is the Blue States give out more to the Fed and get back less, wile the Red States are benefitting from our blue blood. Seems like socialism is working quite well for the Republican base. It's sad that my first post had to be about politics...can we talk boats now?

A friend of mine just diagnosed with terminal cancer went to bangkok at someones advice in desperation. The American Thai doctor was a leading Cancer gene research professor in USA. He has isolated the gene and has a 92% success rate,!!! worth trying he thought, only one problem 8,000 dollars a shot. The drip is made in USA and is flown here in a refrigerated condition.

I know what your thinking and it could be true but the doctor left America to return to Thailand because he can do what he needs to do. Yes my friend is a kind of Guinee pig but he has no choice, the doctor cant do this research in USA openly.

Same with stem cell research ,--it will not be America that leads the world on any of this because religious fanatics are not comfortable with it.
My freind has had 2 shots and has stopped loosing weight.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The US leads the world in stem cell research, always has, always will. Did even during the Bush 'horror' years. The argument was about government (public) funding WRT the source of the cells. Truth is there's TONS of private (corporate) funding in stem cell research and the private money does not care about the source of the stem cells. NO stem cell research project that was worth a **** (ie promising ITO new drugs or therapies) ever went short of funding.

This was always no more than a political football for the entertainment of the ill informed and easily fooled to give them something to wring their hands over; it never had any real substance. If the fabulously wealthy and universally hated drug companies saw promise in a stem cell project, don't you think they'd be willing to fund that project? But the lefty's all cried and moaned over the demise of what amounted to a massive subsidy of the big drug companies (public finding of stem cell research). These are the same people that when talking out of the other side of their mouths decry the 'obscene' profits of these same entities. So why do they want to pour big subsidies on them? Since 'Big Pharma' will be making 'obscene' profits from any drugs and therapies that emerge, LET THEM PAY FOR THE RESEARCH THEMSELVES! Christ, it's a MASSIVE tax write-off anyway!

9 out of the world's top 10 medical universities are located in the US. These medical uni's are ground zero for stem cell research. This did not change during 8 years of 'W', and it will not change in our lifetimes.

I could not possible dispute that 9 out of 10 medical universities study stem cell, I don't have access to such information as you do, but they cant do anything about it, study it yes,

US is too fcked up with who gets money, there was a roumer that they had an answer to aids but they wont use it until more people get it, maximise profit.

Microsoft is regularly fined for its "naughty behaviour", as is Intel and several large corporations who feel they are above the laws of any land... Most of the small businessmen, I am sure, are decent and hard working folk, as are much of the workforce - - - - The loud and "in your face" ones give the rest of the country a bad image - more-so by their apathetic acquiescence, denial, ignorance, stupidity and self righteous arrogance than anything else...

So many comments etc, but yet nobody went to the link and read up on each of the lines I posted and made comments on those lines. Too many times we were taken off the subject. So often, nobody ever got the benefit of the posting.
As of now, none of you who detract from the original posting, really understand how deeply this legislation cuts into the very fabric of the independence of the American citizen.

Did you see the one where the Government has permission to take funds out of your bank account? Initially that was sold as the ability of the Government to fetch payment on what you owe for health services. Do you see the rest of it coming? If you don't, your a certified member of the Nation of Sheep.

I'm going to leave you with this thought on socialism.

If you allow the Government to take over your health and welfare details, and give them the right to hand out to you, just what they think you need, You also give them the right to take what they feel you owe, and give you what ever they want you to have. You have given your life's choices over to the Socialistic Government of America.

Is that what you really want to do? Yes or no? Its a simple choice.

Exercise your sense of integrity, knowing whats right and correct, and your sense of Responsibility...doing the correct thing based on what the correct thing really is. Self honesty and action.

The creeping socialism of the last 40 years has now been replaced with a flood of socialist agenda items by Il Duce Obama and his KoolAid minions in Congress. I'm glad they are trying to accomplish all of their entitlement agenda at once. Americans are now beginning to wake up to the reality of what those of us on the right have been warning about with each little bite out of our freedoms and they are getting angry. With each passing day another member of Congress is getting bludgeoned by his constituents over the facist/leftist agenda being rammed down their throats. Lord Obamas overall approval rating is now down to 50% and he in in the negative among those who strongly disapprove vs strongly approve. Congress of course is in the toilet just waiting for the voters to flush at the next election. The dems are poised to lose at least 5 in the Senate and control of the House might well shift back to the Republicans. So to all you lefties out there, keep encouraging your liberal Congressmen to go full speed ahead with the welfare state agenda.

 

Don't distract yourselves with "reds under the bed paranoia", it is making sure that they cannot get a hold of your money and testicles with HR3200... STOP that first then pontificate over the rest of the political ******** - Socialism/communism has had its day (it is effectively dead), so has certain forms of Capitalism (controlled by the banks - they do not care which "ism" so long as they control the money and access your wallets)...

Cry "reds/socialism" now and you loose half the potential voters that may support the objective of "STOP HR3200" - get that into your heads - MOBILISE get petitions going to send to your elected officials a strong message like "Pass this bill and do not pass GO in the next elections"... Both sides are the same (owned by the bankers & big business) and need to be controlled by you the electorate...
